On July 23, 1937, while playing with Toronto Marlboros in Maple Leaf Gardens, Lance collapsed at halftime from extreme heat and exertion and died a few minutes later. Lance had just given his team a 7-5 lead over Brampton -- the game was called so that Lance's last goal in life would be a winner. Lance Isaacs now joins his brother Bill as a member of the Hall of Fame. |
