Brian Tasker follows older brother Dave (1998) into the Hall of Fame and sports similar credentials. After a successful Junior A career which included a Minto Cup win in 1971 and a total of '71 points in only 76 games, he joined the Maryland Arrows of the Professional National Lacrosse League, notching 198 points in only 48 games. He returned to B.C. in 1976 and joined the New Westminster Salmonbellies, helping the team to a Mann Cup victory. He was named to the W.L.A.'s First All-Star team four times and the Second Team twice, in addition to leading the W.L.A. in scoring in 1976 and being named playoff M.V.P. in 1980. In his '0'-game career with the Salmonbellies and Coquitlam Adanacs of the W.L.A. and the N.L.L. Arrows, he amassed 1,074 points, an average of over three and a half points were game. |
