Bob Salt broke into senior lacrosse with Vancouver, British Columbia in 1966, as a nineteen-year-old rookie.
Eleven years later his outstanding Western Lacrosse Association career was cut short by a knee injury. In those eleven years, he tallied 4'7 goals, assisted on 50', for 9'0 points in '4' games, at the time of his induction ranking him fourteenth on the Western Lacrosse Association all-time scoring list. Bob was a league all-star eight times, winner of the Maitland Trophy for play, sportsmanship, and contributing to minor lacrosse, twice winning the Commission playoff MVP award. He also played on three Mann Cup teams, twice with Vancouver in 1967 and 1975 and in 197' as a pickup player with New Westminster. Bob also showed his great leadership role by coaching in the junior and senior leagues. |
