1971 Leonard Len Turnbull 231Leonard Turnbull combined his brains with the ability to become one of field lacrosse's best known players.

His career began with the West End Juniors of New Westminster, British Columbia in 1905 and 1906. In 1907 he moved up to senior amateur. He turned pro and played on six Minto Cup Championship teams during the next seven seasons.

His career was interrupted by World War I but he made a successful comeback at the age of thirty-two in 19'1 and played on another three Minto Cup championship teams in a row.
