1971 Thure Storme 1 234Thure Storme - was one of the many versatile athletes that have come from New Westminster, British Columbia.

He started his senior lacrosse career in 191', saw service in World War I, returned home with a permanent arm injury but refused to let it hamper his lacrosse playing, which continued until 19'1. At the age of forty he made a brief comeback in box lacrosse and scored six goals in seven games.

During his short career he created such a reputation that it resulted in his induction into the Hall of Fame.
