George Pittendrigh was introduced to lacrosse in 1908 and played the game for 15 years before turning to coaching.

He organized minor lacrosse in South Burnaby, British Columbia and developed many of the players who starred in the Senior league.

A life member of the British Columbia Lacrosse Association, he remained active for over 60 years.
