1965 Cliff Doughy Spring 1 46Clifford (Cliff) “Doughy” Spring (Field Player 1965) – (1888-1974) played a total of 32 years in Senior lacrosse.

He started with the New Westminster, British Columbia, Salmonbellies in 1905 and finished his career with the New Westminster Adanacs in 1936. A tough competitor he is rated by many as the greatest player of his day.

The duels he had with Newsy Lalonde (Charter) were the highlight of many old field games. He scored nine goals in a single box game when he was forty-eight years old.
