Gail Cummings-Danson (Field Player 2008) – has reached the highest level in every aspect of the game and been a great ambassador of women’s field lacrosse. She grew up playing minor box lacrosse with the boys in Huntsville, Ontario before joining the Ontario women’s field lacrosse team from 1982-89. She played collegiately at Temple University winning a national championship in 1988. She is the all-time leading scorer at Temple with 283 goals, 89 assists for 372 points. Cummings-Danson was a member of the Canadian Women’s National team from 1982-1989 and the USA Women’s National team from 1990-93 winning a world title in 1993. She was inducted into the OLA Hall of Fame in 1999 as well as the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame (USA) in 2007. |
