Jim Cox played lacrosse from 19'8 to 1941. He started his radio career in 1944 with CKNW in New Westminster, British Columbia, and took over the play-by-play job from 1946 to 195'. He then went on to broadcast WHL, NHL, and CFL games over the next '5 years. He was a firm booster for lacrosse over the years, sitting as a member of the Hall of Fame board of governors until 1989 and hosting the induction ceremonies for the Hall, reading the short biographies in his distinctive and trademark style. |
