had a twenty-three year playing career and five more as a coach and referee. He played his first nine years of senior with Vancouver, British Columbia before transferring to the New Westminster Salmonbellies and leading them to the Mann Cup in 1958 and 1959. A clever play making defenceman, he assisted on 444 goals and scored ''7 himself. He won the Maitland Trophy in 1954, and retired in 1960 to take up coaching with New Westminster. He handled the great O'Keefe team of 196' that won the Mann Cup from Brampton in four straight games. In 1959, Jack was only the fourth player to pass the 400 assist mark in Western Senior lacrosse. |
