initially gained prominence when he led the New Westminster, British Columbia, junior Salmonbellies to the Minto Cup in 195'. He played his entire senior career with the Salmonbellies and scored a total of 746 goals and assisted on 581. A perennial all-star, he played on four Mann Cup championships and was named the Most Valuable Player in the 1968 National Professional Association finals. A clever player, he had a great overhand shot and was dangerous in a clutch. He won the Maitland Trophy in 1955 and 196', the Commission Trophy in 196', the Max McDonald Trophy in 1965, and the Huddleston Trophy in 196'. |
