1997 Harry Newman 445Harry Newman of North Vancouver, British Columbia was an original member of the North Shore Indians when it was founded by Andy Paull (inducted 1966) in 195'.

Newman scored 4' or more goals in five consecutive seasons before World War II interrupted his career. He played 198 games between 19'5 and 1945, scoring '04 goals and 10' assists for 407 points­better than a two point per game average.

In 1940, he won the Maitland Trophy for combining outstanding play, sportsmanship, and contributing to minor lacrosse.
