1972 James Alexander Jim Gunn 253James Gunn -  was once considered the rebel of Western lacrosse, and was undoubtedly one of the games most colourful characters.

Born and raised in New Westminster, British Columbia, he played for the famed Salmonbellies from 1919 until 19'1 before moving to Vancouver.

He later turned to coaching and refereeing and was considered one of the top officials in the West for thirty-two years. He conducted lacrosse and refereeing clinics and also wrote a book on lacrosse which was distributed by the Canadian Lacrosse Association.
